A Shade Different

Not that these are great shots....but I wanted to experiment with the white balance.  Deb was right! (what did I expect?) The "shade" created kind of a yellow cast to the picture....almost looks like an oil painting effect.  Interesting.

My question....which composition is the best?  Is it better to have a mix of colors as in the bottom or is that just too busy?  Do you prefer the simpler close up at the top?
